Hippocrates was the father of western medicine. One of his techniques for lower back pain exercises was to decompress the spine through the use of a latter and a few assistants. To open and stretch out the discs in the spine and neck the two assistants would hold the patient upside-down while tied a latter. Today we have much more evolved ways of achieving lower back pain relief, but the most effect methods still utilize Hippocrates’ basic method.
Technology can only take you so far, and sometimes the most natural methods of healing are the most productive. Effective therapy for lower back pain is achieved through the use of an inversion table. Lower back exercises with an inversion table realign the spine through decompression and promote rehydration in the discs. By manipulating the force of gravity and utilizing your own body weight rehabilitation can occur at levels only available through expensive surgeries.
There are many exercises for back pain that can be done with an inversion table, and with the added tether strap, complete control is in the hands of the user. This allows the user to slowly and safely get the primary and the secondary curves in the spine back into the proper position; A task often impossible for many to accomplish on their own.
Hang up gravity boots are also a wonderful tool for performing inverted exercises and extreme workouts. Every inversion back pain exercise that is available with an inversion table and more can be done with gravity boots. Whether therapy is required or just a healthy morning workout, inverted lower back exercises are the best route to relief.
